2003 ASCA Nationals Milestone
Australian Shepherds
had a great time at the 2003 ASCA Nationals
in
North Bend, Wisconsin with the following accomplishments!! Amber, Koala-T's Glamour Girl, was entered in Agility and Conformation. Amber qualified in all four of her agility runs and placed in 2! A second place in Novice Standard round 1....one of only two to qualify in round 1! Amber beat the first place dog by almost 10 seconds but had 5 point penalty for one bar down where the first place dog had only a small time fault. Amber acquired a 3rd place in Novice Standard round 2. A 5th place qualifying score in Gamblers...one of only 5 to qualify. AND a 5th place qualifying score in Novice Jumpers! Amber was a little red blur at Nationals in Agility! Amber also placed 3rd in one of the 2 Pre-Shows that I showed in at Nationals. Not as spectacular as last years consideration for Winners Bitch, but respectable. Robin, Koala-T's Cool Summer Day, was originally entered for Versatility, but came into heat right before Nationals. I chose to pull Robin from Agility and Obedience since scores from bitches in heat do not count for titles with the exception of stock. However, Robin still qualified for a started Ducks leg under Bob Blount at Nationals with a nice score of 80! Rita, Milestones Margarita Miss, was entered in Open Red at the two Pre-Shows that I entered and placed 3rd in both of them! Rita was then shown in the huge 12-18 class at Nationals and made the 1st cut! Rita is still a 4 month old puppy at heart and if had behaved better may have placed a little bit higher. Rita has some more maturing to do for sure! Milestone
Australian Shepherds had a great time in "Land of a thousand
Lakes!" Wisconsin was definitely starting to deck out some
beautiful fall
colors and didn't fail to remind us that Winter was just around the
corner.
It was very nice to return home safely to a couple more weeks of 70 and
80
degree NW weather. It was a very long drive....yes, my co-pilot
Jan Wesen
and I made the trip by RV....and I think I should motion it to Congress
that
Montana be cut in half!! That state
takes just waaaay to long to drive across!! :-)) |
